FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
After your initial consultation we will provide you with a treatment plan that details the steps on your smile journey. The gap between adjustments depends upon the level of adjustment and how quickly your teeth move at each stage of treatment.
Braces are an adjustment for all patients that can be uncomfortable when they are first put on. We work with every patient to make sure you are as comfortable as possible during your treatment.
We have over 25 different colours to choose from! You can pick your colour when your braces are first applied and can choose to change the colour in future adjustment appointments.
If you break a bracket, give us a call as soon as you can and we will get an appointment to have your specialist orthodontist fix the broken bracket. Repairs are included for free in the treatment plan cost.
There are some foods that will be more difficult to eat with braces, we recommend you avoid hard, crunchy or sticky foods that could damage the brackets. We will provide you with a guide on what foods are best to eat after you get your braces on. In the first few weeks after getting braces on, softer foods are recommended like breads, grains, ice cream or mashed potato.
Generally, it is best to start treatment as early as possible but treatment can start at any age. Getting a consultation and evaluation of a childs teeth at ages 8-10 is highly recommended with treatments often starting in early teen years. Adults of all ages can get evaluated and get results
